People always ask me, "How much paint do I need?" Or, "Are those Target cans really big enough to cover a decent sized room?" Well, seeing is believing, so this week I decided to do a little experiment — I put my 2.5L "mini-gallons" to the test!
The project was simple, a quick-and-easy bedroom makeover. Becky had already used one of my 8 oz. sample jars from Target to freshen up an old chair with Devine Pond — and she instantly fell in love. She had found the turquoise paint color of her dreams and now she wanted it all over her bedroom (because why not!?). The only question was: How much paint did she need?
Becky's bedroom is a decent size (about 13-by-15-foot), so my estimate was that two cans would be more than enough. A little over an hour after she had started painting, Becky sent me a text saying she was done! Wow, I thought, that was quick! But the most amazing part was that she hadn't even opened the second can. She did the entire room with one 2.5L can, including the paint she needed to do some second-coat touch ups!
What about that second can, you ask? It turns out Becky's daughter fell in love with Devine Pond as well, so Becky decided to keep the extra can and paint her daughter's bedroom next!
